When should I expect to receive royalties?
Sales reports are mailed annually. Royalty checks are paid annually if the total amount is $25.00 or above. Anything below $25.00 will be carried over to the next payout cycle.
What is the annual royalty payout cycle?
We seek to have all royalty checks paid in March each year. As our authors grow, we may adjust this schedule, which will be updated here.
How many books should I expect to sell?
That is entirely up to you! Very seldom does a book sell itself. It takes work—advertising, marketing, and promotion—to sell books.
When will bookstores have access to my book?
Because of the database systems involved, it often takes four to six weeks for each book’s data to reach bookstores after publication. We advise authors to hold off on any promotions until bookstores can search for, find, and order your book. All our books are registered with Books in Print, giving all bookstores—Christian or secular—access to your book. However, do not expect your book to appear in a brick-and-mortar bookstore since bookstore shelf space is very limited. Additionally, it would be impossible for every bookstore to carry every book published.
